Chillington is situated on the main road between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. Both worth a visit.

Kingsbridge

Kingsbridge is an old market town and is only 3 miles from Bramble Cottage. As well as being a beautiful town to walk around, it offers a wide range of amenities. There is plenty of parking. Street parking is usually free but limited. Car Parks are mostly pay and display.

Kingsbridge offers a wide range of cafes to suit whatever your taste is. Be aware that many of them are closed by 4pm.

Cinema:

The town cinema (The Reel Cinema), offers 3 screens that show the latest releases. If you want to see big block busters you may need to book as seating is limited, and get there early (even if you have pre-booked), as tickets have to be picked up from the box office and there can sometimes be a queue.

Dartmouth

Dartmouth is about 5 miles from Chillington and is an easy drive with a car ferry operating between Kingswear and Dartmouth.

A boat ride from Totnes to Dartmouth will give you excellent views of the River Dart and an opportunity to soak in some beautiful scenery. Dartmouth is home to the Britannia Royal Naval College and has an interesting range of shops and restaurants as well as the stunning water-front.
